Clean the brush immediately after use to extend their lifespan. Wipe the brush to remove the residue of paint with paper towels or lint-free rags. Clean the base of the bristles. Rinse the brush under running water and use mild soap to create lather. Avoid soaking the wooden handle. A brush cleaning solvent may alternatively be used. Remove excess water, dry the ferrules and handles, reshape brush heads and dry them with bristles facing upwards. Never leave the brushes standing upright in a jar of water.
